Shady Lane
Application for membership must be done at a one of the monthly club meetings. See the calendar for the schedule.
Dues payback
Each member's yearly dues will be $250. You can work to earn back $200. At the end of December if you have put your time in you will be refunded $200. Then at the beginning of the new year you will once again pay your $250. You can also just leave your $200 in and just pay $50 at the beginning of the new year.
$250 due at December Meeting.
$25 goes to club membership account.
$25 goes to range maintenance account
$200 goes to club account. You have the opportunity to earn this back and the $200 will be paid back at December annual meeting unless you want to leave it and just pay $50 to continue your membership.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: If you only work to receive $100 back., you will forfeit the remaining amount and you will still need to pay $250 for next year's dues.
Lifetime Member
To become a Lifetime Member, the Board of Directors will review your past 5 years and see if you are a member in good standing with Shady Lane Sportsmen's Club.
Current Lifetime members will be grandfathered in.
Other Requirements
Mandatory 4 meetings yearly.
Tractor Pull:
Each day, if you work a whole shift, you will earn $100 dollars back. Must be verified by event coordinator. If you work both days, full shifts, you will earn an additional $25 bonus! You will sign in and sign out at the end of your shifts.
ALL OTHER EVENTS WILL BE ON A $10/HOUR RATE.

- Maintaining gun range (2-3x); minor/major maintenance.
- Cutting the lawn
- Corn giveaway/breakfast
- Promoting or having a party that would give income to the club.
- working on the grounds of the club in other capacity's other than the range; cutting down trees, raking leaves, recycling the garbage, burning used wood.
General Range Rules
1. To shoot at Shady Lane Sportsmen Club you must be a current member in good standing and you must have a valid Membership card with you.
2. Shooting Hours are Dawn till Dusk. Please be respectful of our neighbors.
3. Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times.
4. When going down range to check targets, everyone must stop shooting. All firearms must be cleared and bolts open if applicable.
5. Do Not shoot Glass on the Range. If you shoot plastic bottles or pop cans, pick up all the debris and deposit it into the Recycle Barrels near the Club house.
6. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction pointed down range at all times.
7. Keep your finger off the trigger and outside of the trigger guard until ready to fire.
8. Keep the action open and the firearm unloaded until ready to fire.
9. The action or bolt is to be opened immediately when the firearm is removed from a case.
10. Tracer, incendiary, gas, or explosive ammunition is NOT permitted.
11. Do not shoot at the wooden posts, any 4X4s, or 2X4s. All targets are to be mounted no lower than two feet off the ground and no higher than five and half feet. Observing the previous low and high rules on target placement will prevent ground ricochets and/or bullets going high off the range. Any deliberate abuse or damage to the range will be the liability of the shooter.
12. Any ammunition Club Officials deem unsuitable for our range use is NOT permitted.
13. Know how the firearm operates and how to safely clear jams.
14. Cub Officials reserve the right to prohibit the use of any firearm that may be deemed unsafe.
15. No children under 18 years, unless accompanied and personally supervised by an adult at all times.
16. No pregnant women are allowed to shoot on the range.
17. No Alcoholic beverages while shooting on the range.
18. Do not leave a loaded firearm unattended.
19. Equipment/Guns left unattended are at your own risk. The Club is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
20. Pick up all your brass, do not leave anything lying around and deposit it into the specially marked containers for Brass. Also clean up shotgun shells and unbroken clays and put into the garbage if not wanted.
21. Barrels on the range are not for shooting at ever (High ricochet risk) and are to be used for garbage only. Recyclables should be put in the Recycle barrels by the Club House.
22. While using the facilities at Shady Lane Sportsmen Club you agree to assume to all risk, liability, and/or responsibility for any and all damages and/or accidents. Think safety and always be careful on the range.
